Sorrento - one of the most romantic coastlines in Italy leads to this plateau, nestling in to the cliff, 150m above the sea on the Bay of Naples. An idyllic setting for a romantic holiday and an excellent touring base in which to visit Pompeii, Mount Vesuvius and the beautiful island of Capri.

Hotel standards vary and you will find the majority are simply furnished yet clean and comfortable. You may prefer self-catering, this is available in either a resort area staying in an apartment, or you may prefer to hire out a private villa.

The climate is generally mild, August can be especially hot and sticky. Although a year round destination, autumn and spring are considered the most pleasant time to visit.
