Lanzarote
Introduction

a popular holiday destination both Summer and Winter.
Resorts
Puerto Del Carmen
Set against a back drops hills, Puerto del Carmen is the largest
and most established resort in Lanzarote, and is a good base
for couples to enjoy a superb beach holiday. The town is divided
between an atmospheric "old quarter" and a smart
modem sector with an excellent choice of bars, restaurants
and discos.
Costa Teguise
Situated on the Southeast coast Costa Teguise is modem, well
planned purpose built resort that has become increasingly
popular over recent years. This is a good choice for wind
surfers and golf enthusiasts. A way from the beach there a
plenty of shops, supermarkets and a selection of cafe bars
and restaurants. Night time entertainment is low key, mainly
limited to what the hotel has to offer.
Playa Blanca
Playa Blanca is a lovely sleepy little resort on Lanzarotes
southwest coast. It has an attractive seafront promenade with
delightful fish restaurants and pretty pavement cafes and
bars. Its small marina hosts an array of brightly painted
fishing boats.
Types of Accommodation.
Strict planning control has resulted in the orderly development
of low rise modern buildings in Lanzarote. Construction development
requires all structure to be built not more than three storeys
high. The accommodation in Lanzarote is of a high standard
offering a variety of choice from four star hotels to apartment
complexes with options of self-catering, B&B or half board
basis.

locals in this pretty town. A pleasant morning trip which

Marea Errota

Fuerteventura
Fuerteventura, the surfers paradise
with its endless golden beaches and clear blue ocean waters
is the perfect holiday haven for those preferring the peaceful,
lazy way of life. The second largest of the Canary Islands,
Fuerteventura meaning 'Island of Strong Adventure' is the
least commercialised and truly a beach lovers dream come through.
Due to the strong wind conditions some of the best windsurfing
in Europe can be experienced here. The explorer will be enthused
on this island with spectacular hills, picturesque valleys,
fascinating little villages and remote mountain tracks waiting
to be discovered. If sun sand and sea are your main holiday
priorities, Fuerteventura is the perfect choice. As Fuerteventura
is a popular destination, new building developments are inevitable.
Corralejo
This is the largest
resort on the island, situated close to the northern tip of
Fuerteventura with 11 kms of unspoilt, secluded beaches and
the liveliest nightlife on Fuerteventura. The vast sand dunes
around Corralejo which features a spectacular 30sq. km arc
of dunes have been protected as a National Park. Breezy conditions
with large waves crashing on the shore make this a popular
resort for experienced windsurfers. The resort has a modern
commercial centre with a number of lively bars, many shops
and restaurants to while away those hours after dark.
Caleta de Fuste
The horse shoe
shaped beach of Caleta de Fuste is an ideal location for families
with it's easygoing, relaxed atmosphere and gently shelving
beach. The developing resort has a wide variety of shops,
restaurants and bars. It is in a central location making it
an ideal base for exploring the island by hired car or walkers
may like to probe the hills overlooking the resort.
Jandia
The developing
resort of Jandia in the south west of the island commands
breathtaking seaviews with 26 kms of seemingly endless beach
while the nearby picturesque fishing harbour of Morro Jable
offers a choice of fresh sea-food restaurants and quaint little
shops. Jandia is excellent for the serious surfer and for
those wanting a secluded holiday away from it all.
Costa Calma
Costa Calma is
a tranquil secluded resort, great for those wanting a real
break away from it all. Costa Calma boasts a superb sandy
beach with a small selection of restaurants and shops located
in two commercial centres and low key nightlife. This resort
is suitable for couples.

Tenerife
Tenerife is an island of dazzling contrasts. From the dry,

With an excellent year-round climate, Tenerife is a sun-worshipper's

Playa de Las Americas
Set on the island's south coast, Playa de Las Americas is
Tenerife's liveliest and most popular resort. It has sandy
beaches with watersports and a vast array of shops, restaurants
and nightlife. It also boasts the "Octopus" water
park, a must for kids of all ages.
Los Cristianos
The picturesque harbour town of Los Cristianos is just over
3 kilometres from Playa de Las Americas. However, the two
resorts are now joined by an attractive beach promenade, lined
with bars and cafes sheltered from the sun by geranium plants
and tropical foliage, where you can stroll to and from the
resorts along the coast. This is a slightly quieter resort
with activity centred around the fine sandy beach and port.
Puerto de Santiago
A beautiful and tranquil spot on the south-west coast of
the island, Puerto de Santiago is a quaint fishing village
land marked by the impressive 'Cliffs of the Giants'. This
is a relaxing holiday haven with a limited selection of bars
and shops and nightlife which is mainly hotel based.
Callao Salvaje
Peace and tranquillity that's slightly off the beaten track.
There's a small rocky cove and a small selection of restaurants,
bars and a disco pub to provide night-time fun! Along with
the relaxed atmosphere there's some spectacular scenery. The
snow on Mount Teide can be seen clearly as can the island
of La Gomera.
Los Gigantes
Offering fabulous views of the 'giant' cliffs that rise out
of the sea for several hundred feet, Los Gigantes is an up
and coming resort with a good selection of restaurants and
bars to choose from.
Puerto de la Cruz
Many improvements have been made to what is one of the oldest
and most attractive resorts in Tenerife. Puerto de la Cruz
is in the northern part of the island with its lush vegetation
and colourful exotic flowers. Nestling in the hills of the
beautiful lush Ortova Valley, this resort is sure to capture
heart. Open-air cafes, bars, restaurants and excellent shops
are plentiful. The beautiful Botanical Gardens and the delightful
Loro Parque, with its colourful parrots are well worth a visit.
Costa Adeje
At the Western edge of the busy and cosmopolitan town of
Playa de Las Americas lies the small exclusive resort of Costa
Adeje. Set slightly apart from the general hustle and bustle
with a small selection of bars and restaurants. Adeje with
its elevated position commands impressive views of the island
of Gomera, Mount Teide and the beautiful sandy beach of Fanabe
and Duque.
